Bhringraj, also known as False Daisy, is a small branched annual herbaceous plant growing to a height of 3 meters and belongs to the family Asteraceae. It is an erect, branched, roughly hairy plant often rooting at the nodes. The leaves are opposite, sessile and lance shaped. It has white colored flowers with long stalks. Roots are well developed and cylindrical in shape & greyish in color. Bhringraj has been known for its curative properties and has been utilised as analgesic, antibacterial, antihepatotoxic, hepato-stimulant, antihyperglycemic, antioxidant, immunomodulatory properties and it is considered as a good rejuvenator too. Bhringraj is a wonderful herb for hair care & healthy liver function.
